"Whose Birthday Is It, Anyway?"

Now a CD & Radio Show

The popular annual family Advent/Christmas resource "Whose Birthday Is it, Anyway?" now also comes on an audio CD, as a series of radio programs and in Spanish.

Designed for individuals, families and small groups, the booklet includes reflections, activities, a daily Advent calendar and suggestions for remembering the needy. Providing people with ideas to celebrate responsibly in this Advent-Christmas Resource, all editions of "Whose Birthday?" are available now for free at SimpleLivingWorks.org >> Archives.

The booklet also comes with an audio CD for visually impaired or for folks who prefer to listen, such as while riding in a car.

Two radio programs are now available for broadcast free of charge. "Whose Birthday Is It, Anyway?" is a series of six 28-minute programs for weekends. "More-with-Less Christmas" is a series of thirty 90-second spots for weekdays, Nov. 29-Jan.7. Demos of both can be auditioned on-line at SimpleLivingWorks.org >> Archives >> Audio.

The seven new biblical reflections are by Esther Armstrong and Dale Stitt, founders of Journey into Freedom, a non-profit, ecumenical ministry.

It includes articles and worship aids for home and church.

This is Alternatives' most widely read resource. Over 2-1/2 million copies have been distributed nationwide. It's available in Spanish as "Adviento."

The calendar - "Faithful, Gentle Steps Toward a Simpler Christmas" - offers thoughts and actions for each day in Advent and the twelve days of Christmas. The calendar is also appropraite as bulletin inserts. A free copy of the popular "Ten Tips for a Simpler, More Meaningful Christmas" is available upon request.
